Seoul Sinchon Cafe ‘Starbucks Sinchon Myeongmulgeori Branch’

On July 27, 1999, Starbucks landed in South Korea by opening its first store in front of Ewha Womans University. Initially, there were controversies due to coffee being more expensive than a regular meal, but now Starbucks has firmly established its presence in South Korea.

Especially within a 1km radius of Gwanghwamun Square, it boasts the highest number of Starbucks stores, surpassing even New York in density.

“Starbucks in Seoul Sinchon”

Starbucks is easily found in the Sinchon area. You can find several Starbucks stores in Sinchon, including Starbucks Sinchon Ogeori Branch near Sinchon Station Exit 8, Starbucks Hyundai Sinchon Branch on the basement floor of Hyundai Department Store, Starbucks Sinchon Station Branch to the west of Hyundai Department Store, and three Starbucks locations between Sinchon Station and Yonsei University.

One of the places I visited this time is called Sinchon Myeongmulgeori Branch, located between Sinchon Station and Yonsei University.

“A 5-story Starbucks”

Starbucks Sinchon Myeongmulgeori Branch is a 5-story Starbucks. From the outside, it may not seem very large, but once you step inside, you can feel the spaciousness.

The first floor has only a counter without seating, but from the 2nd to the 5th floor, there are about 50 seats on each floor, accommodating around 200 guests at a time.

“Art Exhibits Throughout the Cafe”

Starbucks Sinchon Myeongmulgeori Branch is not significantly different from other Starbucks. You can enjoy the common interior of Starbucks, but what distinguishes it from other branches is the art exhibits displayed throughout the floors. The presence of artwork on each floor adds to the charm of this location.

“A Store with Elevators”

Moreover, being a 5-story cafe, it operates elevators indoors. Thanks to this, without the need to climb stairs, you can take the elevator from the entrance, receive your drink on the 1st floor, and easily go up to the upper floors.

Also, being a 5-story cafe, you can enjoy the view of Sinchon’s street through the windows.

It’s a suitable Starbucks in the Sinchon area to take a short break or conduct business meetings.
