Seoul Daehangno Pork Belly Restaurant “Lucky Samgyeopsal”

In the vicinity of Hyehwa Station in Seoul, you can find various restaurants and cafes in the area known as Daehangno. This area is called Daehangno because the campus of Seoul National University used to be located around Hyehwa Station in the past. Currently, only the medical school of Seoul National University remains, and the rest have all moved to the Gwanak Mountain area.

Because of this, you can also find restaurants and cafes with a long history in the Daehangno area. The “Hakrim Dabang,” which is the oldest coffee shop in Seoul, is also located in Daehangno for this reason.

“Seoul Daehangno Frozen Pork Belly Restaurant: Lucky Samgyeopsal”

The Lucky Samgyeopsal, which I visited for dinner this time, is also a restaurant with a long history. While it is relatively located in a hard-to-find alley, it is said to have many regular customers due to its long-standing business.

The Lucky Samgyeopsal building has two floors, and you can feel a cozy atmosphere as if a home has been converted.

“A Pork Belly Restaurant with Reasonable Prices”

Lucky Samgyeopsal is reasonably priced. Perhaps because it is frozen pork belly, the prices feel cheaper compared to other pork belly restaurants. You can eat three servings for 27,000 KRW, so it only costs 9,000 KRW per serving.

As the meat sizzles and cooks to perfection, you can enjoy a delicious meal. The interior atmosphere gives off a feeling similar to being at home, as if quietly grilling meat and eating it at home. It can be said that it is a comfortable space.

The owner, a generous lady, also seems to be talkative. While grilling the meat, she shares various stories, allowing you to accumulate your own memories.

“A Restaurant Visited by President Moon Jae-in”

If you look around the Lucky Samgyeopsal restaurant, you can see photos posted everywhere. Former President Moon Jae-in also visited this place. The photos taken during his visit can be seen here.

With the word “Lucky” in the name, suggesting that luck will be abundant, it seems like a place full of good fortune. It’s a great place in Daehangno to grill meat and have conversations with close friends.
