“Osaka America-mura Cafe ‘Streamer Coffee Company'”

After taking some time to explore Osaka America-mura, I decided to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee. After continuous exploration, a brief rest was necessary to recharge and regroup.

In Osaka America-mura, I found a cafe that is quite renowned, and it goes by the name of ‘Streamer Coffee Company.’ While it feels like I may have passed by a similar cafe during my travels in Osaka back in 2018, I didn’t visit the store to taste their coffee at that time.

“Streamer Coffee Company Shinsaibashi Branch”

Streamer Coffee Company is a Japanese native coffee chain that originated in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was created by Sawada Hiroshi, who became the first Asian Latte Art Champion in 2008. The brand has gained popularity in Japan comparable to large franchise cafes.

It stands alongside Lilo Coffee Roasters as a leading force in the coffee trends of America-mura. (Although Lilo Coffee Company can also be found nearby, I decided to try coffee at Streamer Coffee Company due to its larger and less crowded atmosphere compared to Lilo Coffee Company.)

“Representative Menu at Streamer Coffee Company”

The representative menu item is the Streamer Latte, priced at 600 yen, roughly equivalent to around 6,000 won. It is described as a menu where you can experience the artistry of latte art and the rich flavor of milk.

I visited the cafe in the late afternoon, and the store tends to close relatively early. The operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, making it an early-closing establishment. Fortunately, arriving around 6:30 PM allowed me to place an order and take a 30-minute break. As closing time approached, the store was not very crowded.

While there were people outside near the entrance, enjoying coffee while smoking, the cigarette smoke entered the store, which was somewhat disappointing.

After a brief rest in America-mura, I moved on to explore other areas of Osaka.
