The flight from Gimpo Airport, which departed at 9:30 AM, arrived at Jeju International Airport at 10:40 AM. After disembarking and retrieving my luggage, I was ready to kickstart my journey, only to realize that it was already past 11 AM.
Although I had deliberately reserved a rental car for 1 PM to start my trip at a leisurely pace, more time had slipped away than I had anticipated. Since it was already lunchtime and there were no restaurants within a reasonable distance from the airport without a car, I decided to have my first meal at Jeju Airport.
“Jeju International Airport Arrival Floor (1st Floor): Our Home Foodium”
Even at Jeju International Airport, you can find a variety of restaurants. As you go up from the 1st floor arrival area to the 4th floor above the departure area, you’ll find a diverse range of dining options. On the 1st floor arrival area, you can also find a food court.
Named “Our Home Foodium,” this small dining area consists of three restaurants where you can taste Jeju Island cuisine:
- Jeju Ri Sikdang
- Ondam Guksu
- Jeju Aewol Katsu
They also serve a dish considered representative of Jeju Island, “Mombulgogi.” Operated with the concept of selling the flavors of Jeju Island, the restaurants are well-maintained, making it a fairly decent place to have a meal as you start your Jeju Island journey.
Prices range from approximately 11,000 to 15,000 KRW per person, which is reasonable for an airport restaurant.

This place is relatively new. I had never seen it during my previous trips to Jeju Island. Upon checking, I found out that it opened in July 2020.
While it operates as three separate restaurants, it offers dishes infused with the distinctive flavors of Jeju Island. It’s a good place to have your first meal as you begin your Jeju Island journey.
Thanks to this, I was able to have my first meal at the airport during this trip to Jeju Island. I didn’t have high expectations for airport food, but I was pleasantly surprised by the higher quality than I had anticipated. It allowed me to start my journey in a satisfying manner.
