Whenever I visit Jeju Island, there’s one place I never miss out on: Seogwipo’s daily Olle Market. While exploring the area, I naturally find myself drawn to the market. Seogwipo’s Olle Market always exudes a lively atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot.
People have various reasons for visiting the market – sometimes it’s to buy some quick snacks, and other times it’s to purchase souvenirs.

“Purchasing Jeju Tangerines at Seogwipo Olle Market”
Among the items I always make sure to buy is the local Jeju tangerines like Hallabong and Cheonhyehyang. Depending on the season, you can find various types of Jeju tangerines, but I prefer to try Hallabong or Cheonhyehyang whenever possible.
Perhaps it’s because I haven’t spent extended periods of time in Jeju, but if I can’t eat them in abundance, I’d rather have the most delicious tangerines before leaving.
When you visit the market, you’ll see baskets of Hallabong and Cheonhyehyang for sale. Typically, you can purchase one basket for around 10,000 KRW. (It feels more than half as cheap compared to buying them in Seoul.)

“Various Delicacies at Seogwipo Olle Market”
Seogwipo Olle Market is also known for its wide variety of delicacies. There’s even a list of must-try foods at the market. If your stomach allows, I recommend trying as many delicious dishes as possible during your time in Jeju Island.

“Purchasing Souvenirs”
Lastly, one of the things you can do at Seogwipo Olle Market is buying souvenirs. Sometimes during a trip, it’s hard to find time to buy souvenirs due to a tight schedule.
I’ve experienced this several times. It’s nearly impossible to set aside time specifically to buy souvenirs during a trip, so it’s best to look for souvenirs you like while strolling through the market.
You can find shops selling souvenirs all over the market. One notable option is the souvenir shop on the first floor of the public parking lot, where you can purchase various products including Hallasan liquor and Hallabong chocolates, representing Jeju Island.
I recommend stopping by this place and checking out the variety of souvenirs you can find in Jeju Seogwipo Olle Market.
