Cotai, Macao, McDonald’s at “The Venetian”

McDonald’s is a prominent multinational fast-food franchise that originated in Chicago, Illinois, USA. It serves as an epitome of fast-food burgers and has become a trademark symbolizing American capitalism and globalization, alongside Coca-Cola and Apple.

Having expanded globally, McDonald’s is a company that exerts a tremendous influence on the world economy, to the extent of creating the concept of “Big Mac Index,” which calculates prices based on its menu item “Big Mac.”

Sometimes when traveling, thoughts of McDonald’s may come to mind. Perhaps it’s because McDonald’s sells a taste that is common worldwide.

“McDonald’s Spotted by Chance at The Venetian, Cotai, Macao”

While spending time at The Venetian resort in the Cotai area of Macao, I got a bit lost and delayed, and it was time for dinner. Feeling quite hungry, I entered the restaurant right in front of me, and by chance, I ended up finding McDonald’s and had my meal here.

McDonald’s located at The Venetian could be found on the second floor. After wandering out of the waterway area for a bit, it caught my eye.

“McDonald’s Presents Similar Menus Anywhere in the World”

One of McDonald’s strengths is that it offers similar menus and tastes regardless of which branch you visit around the world. Of course, there may be one or two special menu items unique to each country, but it is well known for providing standardized menus.

The McDonald’s in Macao had a slight difference in menu from McDonald’s in Korea, so I decided to order a menu item unique to Macao. The menu I chose was the “Miyazaki Style Chicken Burger.”

“Miyazaki Style Chicken Burger”

Since I had come all the way to Macao, I wanted to taste a special menu item unique to Macao, even if I was having a meal at a McDonald’s, a brand common worldwide. There was a difference from the McDonald’s menu items available in Korea, both in terms of ingredients and the sauce, which was notably stronger.

Other than that, it was fairly standard, and thanks to that, I was able to have a very satisfactory meal.

Visiting regularly might make it less special, but it’s interesting to visit brand stores that we can find in Korea even when abroad and compare the differences with our country.
