Cafe ‘Ten Percent Coffee’ in Indeok-dong, Pohang

Across from Emart Pohang’s parking lot, a small commercial area has formed, where you can find several cafes. Among them, the brand logo of “Ten Percent Coffee” caught my attention, so I decided to go in and take a look.

The logo of Ten Percent Coffee is a “%” sign, which is almost identical to the “Percent Coffee,” commonly known as “응커피” in Korea, that can be found overseas. Due to the current situation where overseas travel is restricted because of COVID-19, memories of enjoying Percent Coffee in Hong Kong came to mind, so I decided to give this place a visit.

“Ten Percent Coffee, with its main branch located in Busan”

Ten Percent Coffee is a specialty coffee franchise chain based in Busan. The main branch is located in Busan City Hall. Although the logo and coffee style are similar to “Percent Coffee” known as “응커피” which can be found overseas, it is a separate entity.

“A Clean Atmosphere with an Open Feeling Cafe”

Ten Percent Coffee in Indeok-dong, Pohang exudes a clean atmosphere. It’s made of glass, allowing for an open feeling. The interior, complemented by wooden elements, evokes the atmosphere commonly seen in buildings in Japan. Thanks to this, I felt like I was in Japan while spending time in the cafe.

“Affordable Coffee Brand, Ten Percent Coffee”

The coffee prices are also quite reasonable. You can enjoy an Americano for just 2,000 won, making it an affordable option to relax with a cup of coffee. Right next to Ten Percent Coffee is a cafe called “The Benti,” which sells a cup of coffee for 1,500 won. However, in terms of store interior and atmosphere, Ten Percent Coffee has a cleaner vibe compared to “The Benti,” making it a place where you might want to spend more time.

Affordable, clean, and with an open atmosphere, it’s a great place to take some time and relax.
