Yangpyeong, Pool-Accessible Villa Pension ‘Bao House’

When you venture out of Seoul into Gyeonggi Province, you’ll find pensions nestled in nature all around. Bao House in Yangpyeong is one such pension that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.

Bao House is not located in the downtown area of Yangpyeong, where the Yangpyeong County Office is, but it truly feels like it’s hidden in the midst of nature. This means the distance is quite substantial if you’re coming from Seoul, but once you arrive, it’s a place that gives you a feeling of healing in the midst of nature.

“Yangpyeong, Villa Pension, Bao House”

If you depart from downtown Seoul, it takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours to reach Bao House. Of course, this is if you’re driving by car. Like most other pensions, it’s located in a place where public transportation doesn’t reach easily, so it’s not the most accessible without a vehicle.

While driving in the congested streets of downtown Seoul can be tiring, once you escape to the outskirts of Gyeonggi Province, that fatigue gradually diminishes. As you get closer to Bao House, you can enjoy the beautiful nature and set out with a feeling of embarking on a journey from Seoul to your destination.

Bao House can be considered a villa pension, and each room comes with a veranda. You can also use the spa or swimming pool indoors. This makes it a great place for families with children or couples to visit.

“A Pension in Harmony with Nature”

As Bao House is nestled in nature, you naturally get to experience a different kind of air compared to Seoul. You can feel the refreshing sensation you’d experience in the mountains right inside the pension. While the pension itself is an artificial building, it blends in well with the natural scenery. In a way, it exudes a harmonious atmosphere.

The central space in the pension is set up for photography. Various props like a convertible car and windmills that complement the surrounding natural landscape are arranged. This allows visitors to take stunning photos.

At Bao House, you can also hold weddings or conduct wedding photo shoots. This means the beautifully decorated space can be used as a location for photography.

“Barbecue Grill”

As with most pensions, Bao House also provides a barbecue grill. It’s a great opportunity for families, friends, or couples to spend time together while grilling the prepared meats and dishes.

Especially, there’s a famous spot called “Yangpyeong Betgogae” (Betgogae means Milky Way) nearby. When night falls, visiting this place to gaze at the Milky Way can be a wonderful memory.

“Weddings, Wedding Photo Shoots”

Bao House has a designated wedding venue. It’s a place suitable for wedding photo shoots and has all the facilities to comfortably host a wedding ceremony.

Small weddings have been trending for a while, and I think having a small, quiet wedding in a place like this wouldn’t be a bad idea.

“Spacious Rooms with Wonderful Views”

Even in the rooms, you can feel the coziness. They’re not too cramped, but not overly spacious either. Of course, there may be slight differences in each room provided by the pension, but overall, it’s a place that exudes a subtle and cozy atmosphere.

Taking a break from Seoul for a while and spending relaxed time here is a great way to heal.
