Starbucks Sangdo Station: A 4-Floor Café Oasis

On July 27, 1999, Starbucks made its debut in South Korea with the opening of its first store in front of Ewha Womans University. Initially, there were controversies due to coffee prices being higher than a meal, but now Starbucks has firmly established its presence in South Korea. It has become a global company, following in the footsteps of McDonald’s, creating a new global index known as the Starbucks Index.

Thanks to this, you can now find Starbucks in various bustling areas around Seoul, including near Sangdo Station. Starbucks Sangdo Station is located right next to Exit 5 of Sangdo Station.

“A Spacious 4-Floor Café: Starbucks Sangdo Station”

The Starbucks at Sangdo Station is quite expansive. Spanning a total of four floors, it can be considered a relatively large-scale Starbucks. The atmosphere exudes a meticulously designed ambiance, and the entire building, predominantly made of glass, is an impressive sight.

“The Striking Interior of Glass at Starbucks”

As a cafe that occupies an entire building, the first floor consists of the counter where orders are placed, and customers then move to the upper floors. However, the floor space on each level is not particularly wide, with a layout resembling stacked, vertically extended narrow spaces.

As a result, you can use an elevator to move around inside the café. Taking the elevator and heading upstairs, you can find seating from the second floor to the fourth floor.

In particular, when you ascend to the top floor, the ceiling height is quite high. The roof is shaped like a triangle, making the ceiling height feel even taller. It gives the impression of being inside a large indoor garden.

Since the outer walls of the building are made of glass, you can enjoy the view outside from within. This makes Starbucks Sangdo Station a spacious café where you won’t feel cramped at all.

It’s a great place to visit near Sangdo Station with friends, loved ones, or even alone with a laptop to get some work done.
