Samseong COEX “Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang”

In the underground shopping mall of COEX, which can be considered the center of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry in South Korea, you can find various restaurants. Since various MICE events take place at COEX, it’s natural that you can explore a variety of restaurants.

You can observe that there are restaurant clusters in various places within COEX. Even near Parnas Hotel leading to Samseong Station, you can find a restaurant area, and in the underground of City Airport Terminal, you’ll find numerous restaurants. Additionally, you can find several restaurant areas in the basement of ASEM Tower.

“COEX Starfield: Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang”

In the underground shopping area where COEX ASEM Tower is located, you can see various restaurant clusters. You can find places with small stores where you can have a meal at a reasonable price, and Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang is one of these places.

“Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang” is a franchise restaurant that operates not only at COEX but also in other locations. It aims for a simple taste, making it a place you can visit without feeling pressured, no matter which location you choose.

“A Casual Atmosphere”

“Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang” COEX branch also offers a casual dining atmosphere. The ceiling height is a bit higher compared to regular stores, so you won’t feel cramped, which can be considered an advantage.

The store size is not very large, but it’s also not too small. It can accommodate about 20-25 people at once, providing a comfortable dining experience.

“A Variety of Menu Choices at Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang”

At Chef’s Noodles & Yukgaejang, you can find a variety of menu options. The prices range from approximately KRW 8,500 to KRW 10,000, making it an affordable option for a meal. Especially considering the recent rapid rise in prices and the cost of living in the Gangnam COEX area, it’s a place where you can have a meal at a reasonable price.

“Budae Yukgae Ramyeon + Rice: KRW 9,500”

Since it was lunchtime, the place was quite busy with people. After waiting for a short while, I was able to have a meal. While looking at the menu, I noticed a unique option: “Budae Yukgae Ramyeon + Rice.” It was a combination I hadn’t seen before, so I decided to give it a try.

The food is served generously. Budae Yukgaejang is a dish that combines yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) with ramyeon, giving it a rich flavor. Rolling the ramyeon in rice made the meal even more satisfying.

On this day, I was particularly busy with meetings with overseas buyers at the “KOFTA International Tourism Fair” held at COEX. It was a day when I had to have a meal alone. I was a bit worried about whether I could have a solo meal during the busy lunchtime, but fortunately, I was able to enjoy my meal alone.

It’s a restaurant at COEX where you can have a simple meal. If you visit during less crowded hours, it’s also a good place for solo dining.
