Hong Kong Airport, Asiana Airlines Early Check-in

I was able to board the AEL at Tsing Yi Station and return to Hong Kong Airport. Now, only the final itinerary of my Hong Kong trip remained.

For the last leg of my Hong Kong trip, I had a schedule to explore Ngong Ping Village and Tai O Village on Lantau Island. Since it was the day of departure and I didn’t have accommodation to stay at, I had no choice but to carry my luggage for the tour. However, it seemed too inconvenient to explore Ngong Ping Village and Lantau Island with my luggage in tow.

Then, a sudden thought came to me. Since I was returning to the airport anyway, why not do an early check-in at the airport, drop off my luggage, and then head to Tung Chung Station near Hong Kong Airport to continue my tour of Ngong Ping Village and Lantau Island?

“With AEL, You Can Send Your Luggage in Advance through Early Check-in”

Using AEL, you can send your luggage from the city to the airport in advance through early check-in. However, since the last accommodation of my Hong Kong trip was “Hong Kong Disneyland,” I couldn’t use this service. The luggage early check-in service is only available at AEL Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station.

I had no choice but to arrive at the airport early to proceed with check-in at an unusually early hour.

I found the Asiana Airlines booth at Hong Kong Airport and proceeded with early check-in. Since I tried to check in about 12 hours before the flight, the staff at the counter seemed quite surprised. It seemed the staff at the counter were local Hong Kong employees, not Koreans, which made the situation even more puzzling.

Fortunately, there were no issues with early check-in. I happily sent off my large luggage and carried only a small bag as I moved to Tung Chung Station, the final location of my Hong Kong trip.
