Candle Light Sculpture at Acro Forest in Seoul Forest (Photo)

Inside Seoul Forest, located in Seoul’s Seongdong-gu, you can find various sculptures. Additionally, near Seoul Forest, you can also encounter a variety of sculptures.

If you take the Suin Bundang Line subway towards Seoul Forest, you can find a sculpture called “Candle Light” near the high-rise buildings.

“Candle Light Sculpture Near Seoul Forest”

The Candle Light sculpture was created by artist Jo Gyu-hyung and was installed in 2020. Below is a description of the Candle Light sculpture:

The column-shaped sculpture is equipped with a bar-shaped lighting system at the top, resembling a candle illuminating the darkness. Out of the 24 pieces, 8 are installed in groups at the entrances facing underground, and 16 are arranged along the road to fill the surroundings. The candles are used to illuminate the darkness and are meant for celebration and meditation. CANDLE LIGHT, located in the heart of Seoul, along with Acro Seoul Forest, will enhance the beauty of Seoul’s city and nature, coexisting with a complex cultural space, adding artistry and cheerfulness.

“Diverse Candle-shaped Sculptures”

True to its name, the sculpture named Candle Light offers a variety of candle shapes. Its scale is quite impressive, making it an excellent subject for commemorative photos, especially at night.
