Seoul Sinchon Mural Tunnel “Rabbit Hole”

In the Sinchon area, one of Seoul’s representative university districts, you can explore hidden places throughout. Even near the Gyeongui Line Sinchon Station, you can discover unique spots that are not well-known.

To the west of Gyeongui Line Sinchon Station, you’ll find a small tunnel. It’s a very tiny tunnel located under the Gyeongui Line railway, allowing only pedestrians to pass through.

This tunnel is connected north and south, so if you pass through the tunnel from the south side of Sinchon Station, you’ll emerge on the opposite side facing Severance Hospital.

“A tunnel adorned with various graffiti”

In reality, this tunnel could have been just like any other. However, it became a rather cool space due to the vibrant graffiti of young individuals. While it’s not very long, you’ll see a variety of murals covering both the inside and outside of the tunnel, giving it a hip vibe. Especially, it’s a great place to use as a backdrop for atmospheric photos or short video shoots.

It may not be a deliberately sought-out spot for tourists coming from abroad, but it’s a place where you can find simple enjoyment in the Sinchon area.
