Seoul Jamsil, “Trevi Fountain” of Rome

The Trevi Fountain is a landmark of Rome. It is the largest Baroque fountain in Rome, standing at 26.3m high and 49.15m wide. It is considered one of the most famous fountains in the world, due to its appearance in the movie “Roman Holiday”.

The background of the Trevi Fountain in Rome is the Palazzo Poli. On each side of the arch, there are statues of the god of abundance holding a pitcher pouring water and the goddess of health holding a cup that a snake drinks from.

There is a myth attached to the Trevi Fountain. It is said that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, you will return to Rome. If you throw a second coin, you will find love. However, if you throw a third coin, you will break up with your loved one.

You can also find the Trevi Fountain in Seoul Jamsil. It is a replica of the fountain in Rome and can be found at the entrance to Lotte Department Store from Jamsil Station. It is a popular spot for taking pictures in the Jamsil area because of its similarity to the one in Rome.
