Seoul Gwanghwamun KB Kookmin Card Cafe, Dada Cafe

In the vicinity of Gwanghwamun in Seoul, you can find the headquarters of KB Kookmin Card. Situated to the west from Gwanghwamun Square, the building is located across from the Morning 4th Complex Apartments and offices near Kyunghee Palace.

Within the underground shopping area of the building, you can observe a concentration of various restaurants. Among them, there is an in-house cafeteria responsible for KB Kookmin Card’s lunch meals.

“Dada Cafe on the 1st Floor of KB Kookmin Card Building”

On the 1st floor of the building, you’ll find a cafe called Dada Cafe, located right next to the main entrance of the KB Kookmin Card building.

Although it seems like a cafe exclusively for employees, visitors can also place orders. Orders can be made either through the kiosk or at the counter, with most people preferring the kiosk.

When ordering through the kiosk, card payment is available, but only KB Kookmin Card is accepted. Cards issued by other companies cannot be used. If you don’t have a Kookmin Card, you can place an order with cash through the staff.

“A Cafe Using Reusable Cups”

The beverages served at Dada Cafe come in cups with a different shape compared to other cafes. Since May 2, 2023, Dada Cafe has been actively using reusable cups in the store to reduce single-use cup waste for climate action, collaborating with Jongno-gu Office.

The production of reusable cups, thicker than regular plastic cups, reflects the commitment to “overcome the climate crisis and keep global temperature rise within 5°C.”

Used reusable cups are collected through dedicated bins in each building and are then sent to a professional cleaning company. After undergoing high-temperature and high-pressure cleaning at over 110 degrees Celsius and sterilization, the cups are reused.

“A Cafe Offering Affordable Prices”

The cafe offers its services at very affordable prices. The basic Tall size Americano, for example, is priced at 1,000 won. Even if you upgrade to the Grande size, the Americano is still available for 1,300 won.

Other menu items are also reasonably priced, making it a convenient and economical choice for those with a KB Kookmin Card. However, as it is an in-house cafe and not a regular cafe, it only provides a takeaway service without dedicated seating space.
