Seoul COEX Cafe ‘Terra Rosa’

Terra Rosa, translating to “red soil,” represents a characteristic Cambisol soil associated with limestone terrain, often found along the Mediterranean coast. This red-hued soil, known for its excellent drainage, is conducive to the cultivation of grapes and other crops.

In Korea, Terra Rosa is renowned as a “coffee specialty chain” with its headquarters and factory located in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. Emphasizing specialty coffee, it is particularly famous for directly roasting high-quality beans from around the world at the Gangneung Coffee Factory.

The brand name Terra Rosa, derived from the red-colored soil, also carries the meaning of hopeful land in Brazil.

While Terra Rosa’s headquarters is in Gangneung, franchises can be found in various locations. Although not as easily recognizable as Starbucks, it is accessible in major areas, including COEX.

The Terra Rosa cafe in COEX is situated near the exhibition hall, specifically in the corridor with “Building A,” occupying the first floor.

“Experience Gangneung Coffee in COEX, Terra Rosa”

Terra Rosa is a renowned cafe based in Gangneung, known not only for its coffee but also for its distinctive interior. While the COEX branch may not capture the ambiance of the Gangneung main store entirely, it still carries the refreshing atmosphere unique to Terra Rosa.

A variety of coffees can be ordered, with an Americano priced at around 5,000 KRW, slightly higher than Starbucks.

The space is reasonably spacious with plenty of seating. However, given the substantial number of visitors to COEX, finding available seats might be relatively challenging.

It’s an excellent place in COEX to casually enjoy a cup of coffee and spend some time.
