America-mura in Osaka carries a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of Seoul’s Hongdae and Itaewon in South Korea. Among its attractions, the shopping mall “Big Step” stands out as a landmark in America-mura. The mall hosts unique and distinctive stores, and one of the last shops I explored at Big Step was “Kemari87.”
“Osaka America-mura Soccer Equipment Specialty Store”
Compared to the other stores I explored earlier, Kemari87 seems to focus on relatively less eccentric items. This may be due to soccer being a sport loved worldwide compared to other sports.
However, the store’s specialization in soccer equipment is quite impressive. From the entrance, you can see a variety of soccer gear, including uniforms from different players, soccer shoes, shin guards, and other accessories.
“Entrance with Mini Soccer Game Machines”
In front of the main entrance, there were mini soccer game machines set up. As I walked toward the entrance, I noticed a group of people enjoying a fun time with the game machines. Although similar to a hand-operated soccer game using sticks, it seemed to be a more advanced version.
The store is quite spacious overall, with soccer player uniforms displayed throughout, and you can even find a soccer league ranking chart (likely for the Japan J-League). It’s a store that soccer enthusiasts would find appealing and worth exploring.
