“Harbour City” in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Hong Kong is not only a city known for its culinary delights but also for its shopping opportunities. Large shopping malls can be easily found throughout the city. On the Kowloon Peninsula across from Hong Kong Island, you can also find major shopping malls, and “Harbour City” in the Tsim Sha Tsui area is undoubtedly one of the prominent ones.

True to its name, Harbour City is a shopping mall located near the harbor. When you look at the structure of the mall, it gives off the impression that it has been transformed from a former harbor area into a shopping complex.

Harbour City is a colossal shopping mall where four arcades, namely Ocean Terminal, Marco Polo Hongkong Arcade, Ocean Centre, and Gateway Arcade, are interconnected. It houses seven department stores and approximately 700 stores.

Given its expansive space and diverse range of stores, exploring the numerous shops scattered throughout Harbour City can easily consume a considerable amount of time. Along the endlessly extending corridors, you can encounter a variety of shops, each with its own unique character.

Harbour City offers a wide array of stores. There are even restaurants serving Korean cuisine, and you can also come across signs in Korean.

At the far end of Harbour City, you can find a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. (For reference, Gordon Ramsay also has a restaurant at Victoria Peak.)

Personally, I visited quite late in the day and didn’t have the chance to explore extensively. However, as it is an area connected to one of the largest shopping malls in Hong Kong, it’s a great place to visit if you’re planning a serious shopping spree.

In terms of location, it’s conveniently situated next to the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Terminal, making it easily accessible by taking a ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui.
