“Pomodoro” is a well-established restaurant that can be found in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul. The history of Pomodoro dates back to 1994.
Pomodoro is known for always having a long line of people waiting, even in the Gwanghwamun area. The flagship menu item here is pasta.
While many restaurants that serve pasta may have a good atmosphere, it’s often the case that the taste may be lacking or the portion size is disappointing. However, at Pomodoro, you won’t be disappointed as they serve generously portioned dishes.

“Meeting Pomodoro at COEX”
You can also find Pomodoro in Gangnam at COEX. It’s the same Pomodoro that you can find in Gwanghwamun. Due to its success in Gwanghwamun, they opened a branch in COEX.

You can find Pomodoro COEX Branch not towards COEX Mall, but by going in the direction of the aquarium and heading down towards Megabox. You can see various restaurants around, and Pomodoro naturally fits in among them.

“The Menu at Pomodoro COEX”
The menu at Pomodoro COEX is not much different from the Gwanghwamun branch. You can enjoy a variety of pastas, with prices ranging from KRW 15,000 to KRW 22,000 per dish.
You can also complement your meal with side dishes like garlic bread or mushroom cream soup.
- Garlic Bread: KRW 3,000
- Mushroom Cream Soup: KRW 5,000
“The Interior at COEX Branch Resembles Gwanghwamun”
The interior of Pomodoro at COEX is hardly different from the main branch in Gwanghwamun. The store design is very similar, and the seating arrangement is also unchanged. Even the frames hung on the walls for decoration are the same.
Of course, if you look closely, there may be some differences in the details, but overall, the atmosphere exuded by the store seems almost identical.

“The Same Menu as the Gwanghwamun Branch”
You can hardly feel any difference in the pasta between the main branch in Gwanghwamun and the COEX branch. Whether it’s the main branch or a branch, they offer almost the same menu. The hearty and generous pasta dishes with the warm hospitality that you can experience at the main branch in Gwanghwamun can also be enjoyed at COEX. Thanks to this, I was able to have a satisfying meal with pasta.
When people think of Italian restaurants, they often imagine places with a great atmosphere. However, if you’re willing to compromise a bit on the atmosphere for the sake of delicious and hearty pasta, this is a recommended place to try.
