Starbucks Haeundae, Busan

On July 27, 1999, Starbucks opened its first branch in Korea near Ewha Womans University, marking its landing in South Korea. Initially, there was controversy due to the high price of coffee compared to regular meals, but now Starbucks has firmly established itself in Korea.

Nowadays, you can find Starbucks all over the country, and in major cities, you can find multiple Starbucks locations.

“Starbucks Haeundae, Busan”

Haeundae is one of the leading tourist destinations in Busan, centered around Haeundae Beach. It attracts a large number of tourists, especially during the summer vacation season. As a result, many restaurants and cafes can be found in this area.

In the Haeundae area, you can find several Starbucks locations. Right at the entrance to Haeundae Beach, you can find a Starbucks branch named “Starbucks Haeundae.”

Since Starbucks is a franchise, this branch doesn’t differ significantly from others. Although I somehow expected a larger café due to its location in Haeundae, it turned out to be relatively small in size.

Perhaps, being one of the early establishments of Starbucks in Korea, it took on a modest form.

You can find it right at the end of Haeundae Main Street, just before entering the event square leading to Haeundae Beach. It’s quite close to Haeundae Beach, and you can easily head there by crossing the pedestrian crosswalk.

“I Visited this Café for a Brief Recharge Near Haeundae”

Starbucks Haeundae was a place I visited for a short recharge during my trip to Busan. On this trip, I accompanied scholarship students dispatched from the U.S., and after energetically exploring various places all morning, I felt my energy levels dropping in the afternoon.

We were given some free time around the Haeundae area, so we stopped by Starbucks for a cup of coffee and some time to recharge.
