Printing shops where you can get your documents printed are not uncommon, but finding a place where you can also scan books is relatively less easy.
If you walk a bit towards Nakseongdae Station direction from Exit 7 of Sadang Station, you’ll come across ‘Yuil Printing,’ a shop where you can not only print but also scan books. It’s a convenient place for bulk printing or scanning.
“‘Sadang Station Printing Shop & Book Scan – ‘Yuil Printing'”
Yuil Printing is located on the 2nd floor of a building. It’s a place where you can get documents printed and also scan books.
Carrying textbooks around can be quite burdensome due to their weight. That’s why nowadays, you can find people who scan books and store them in devices like iPads or tablets.
This service allows you to scan books and save them as digital files. If you have the leisure, you can personally purchase a scanner, but scanning books at a shop equipped with a scanner is also an option.
“Destructive Scanner – ‘Yuil Printing'”
Yuil Printing has a destructive scanner installed, allowing for fast scanning without damaging the books.
Additionally, when you save the file as a PDF, some may have text recognition while others may not. By default, you can scan without text recognition here. However, as an option, you can choose to pay an additional 500 KRW per 100 pages for “OCR conversion,” which provides a version with text recognition. (Nowadays, with the ability to do text recognition from photos on smartphones, the value of OCR conversion may not be as significant as it used to be.)
“Printing and Binding Facilities Available”
Just like a typical printing shop, you can both print and bind documents here. Recently, I obtained a Level 1 Board Game Instructor certificate through online classes. I printed and bound the course materials for study. It cost me 7,000 KRW for binding an approximately 80-page booklet.
If you ever need to print, bind, or scan near Sadang Station, this is a place worth visiting. If you’re looking for a place to print documents in the vicinity, it’s good to keep this place in mind.
