“Little Bus Tayo” is an animated transportation vehicle set in the city of Seoul. It was produced with the aim of making it easy for children to understand transportation and was jointly organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and EBS.
The planning was done by Iconix, who had previously succeeded with Pororo, and the production was outsourced to Studio Gale.
“Seoul Myeongdong, Tayo Bus Stop”
Following the animation, in 2015, a portion of the buses operating in Seoul were designed as “Tayo Buses” and gained attention while in operation in the actual city. Later in 2015, a “Tayo Bus Stop” was also installed in Myeongdong.
You can find the Tayo Bus Stop between exits 3 and 4 of Myeongdong Station on Seoul Subway Line 4, which is on the way to Namsan.
It was installed in 2015, and the Tayo Stop was created to coincide with the festival held on the “Fun Street,” a cartoon street leading from Myeongdong to Namsan Seoul Animation Center.
