Seoul Gwanghwamun Four Seasons Hotel Cafe “Maru”

Currently, there are no 6-star hotels to be found domestically. Even the luxury hotels in Korea are rated as 5-star at most. However, among these 5-star hotels, there is one place that is considered to be close to 6-star, and that is the “Four Seasons Hotel.”

You can find the Four Seasons Hotel near Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul, and on the first floor, you’ll discover a cafe with a luxurious atmosphere.

On the first floor of the Four Seasons Hotel, you can find “Cafe Maru.” Although it is technically a 5-star establishment, it operates a cafe space, giving it a highly luxurious ambiance that is often rated close to 6-star.

Furthermore, all the staff working in the cafe are hoteliers from a 5-star hotel, so you can expect to receive satisfactory service.

Upon entering the hotel interior, you’ll catch a whiff of the distinctive fragrance typical of high-end hotels. From the moment you step inside the building, you can experience the atmosphere of a luxury world-class hotel.

“As luxurious as it is, the cafe comes with a considerable price range.”

As much as the cafe exudes a luxurious ambiance, the price range is relatively high compared to ordinary cafes. A cup of Americano is priced at 18,000 KRW, which is nearly three to four times the price of Starbucks.

However, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere of the cafe is inviting, making it a great place to visit if you want to experience something special.

Moreover, when you order an Americano, they offer a refill, and the refill cost is not charged separately. Therefore, if you drink two cups, the price per cup is around 9,000 KRW, which is not as expensive as one might think.

While the prices are high, it’s an excellent place to utilize for important meetings or gatherings where a sophisticated atmosphere is required.
