Seoul Gwanghwamun Cafe, Starbucks Government Seoul Office Reserve Store

Since opening its first branch in front of Ewha Womans University on July 27, 1999, Starbucks has landed in Korea. In the early days, there were controversies due to coffee being more expensive than meals, but now Starbucks has firmly established itself in Korea.

Especially within a 1km radius of Gwanghwamun Square, it boasts the highest number of Starbucks stores, even more than in New York, making it a densely packed area.

In the Gwanghwamun area, you can find Starbucks stores everywhere. Even near the Government Seoul Office, located west of Gwanghwamun Square, you can find a Starbucks.

The Starbucks at Government Seoul Office operates as a “Reserve store,” offering slightly more diverse options than regular Starbucks.

The Starbucks Government Seoul Office R Branch is a single-story café. At first, you might think it’s quite narrow due to being single-story, but when you actually visit, you’ll find it quite spacious. In the middle, there’s a Reserve table, and on the right, there’s a regular Starbucks store counter. On the left and back, there are seats, with various-shaped tables.

Overall, it is quite spacious, but since there are many office workers in the Gwanghwamun area, you can always see a lot of people sitting there whenever you visit. Especially during lunchtime, which is the time when all office workers have their meals, you can enjoy the crowd of many office workers trying to have a cup of coffee after their meal.

Starbucks is a place where you can use it without any trouble no matter where you visit, and while the size and atmosphere may vary slightly from store to store, Government Seoul Office Branch provides an even more spacious space, offering Starbucks’ characteristic comfortable atmosphere.
