Seoul Gangnam Cafe “Starbucks Kyobo Tower Branch”

Starbucks made its debut in South Korea by opening its first store near Ewha Womans University on July 27, 1999. Initially, controversies arose due to the higher cost of coffee compared to meals, but now Starbucks has firmly established its presence in South Korea. As a globally recognized restaurant chain following McDonald’s, it even created the “Starbucks Index,” akin to the Big Mac Index, influencing the world economy.

Nowadays, Starbucks stores are easily found in major urban areas across South Korea. Particularly, in Seoul’s bustling city center, you can observe several Starbucks locations densely distributed.

In the Gangnam area of Seoul, known as one of the bustling districts, you can find several Starbucks stores. Adjacent to Gangnam Station, near Sinnonhyeon Station, you’ll find the Starbucks store inside Kyobo Building, specifically on the 1st floor.

Formerly occupied by Angel-in-us, the space has transformed into a Starbucks store.

“Tall Ceilings and Sophisticated Ambiance”

Starbucks Kyobo Tower Branch boasts a considerable ceiling height, providing an advantage of an open and airy feeling within Kyobo Tower’s 1st floor. While not overly spacious, it strikes a balance that doesn’t feel cramped. It’s a great place to take a break when visiting the Gangnam area.

The Starbucks Reserve store is also present, offering not only the regular Starbucks coffee but also a selection of premium coffees.
