The “Character Maritime Park” in Pohang Songdo is a park located along the river in the city center. It’s a cultural park where children can meet characters like Turning Mecard, Hello Carbot, Sophie Ruby, Gaspar and Lisa. In addition to stimulating children’s imaginations, the park offers a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the calm night and the sea with vibrant musical fountains and screens.
“Pohang Songdo Character Maritime Park”
You can find the Character Maritime Park after crossing the Dongbin Bridge. Once you enter, you’ll encounter various characters. While they may not be giant robots, there are robots of a reasonable size on display, making it an enjoyable space for children. It’s especially great for taking pictures with children.
“Musical Fountain Schedule at Character Maritime Park: 19:35”
The Character Maritime Park also features a musical fountain. The operating hours for the musical fountain are at 19:35, playing various character songs from Pororo to Frozen.
Personally, I visited the park early in the morning, so I didn’t get a chance to see the evening musical fountain.
Even if you don’t get to enjoy the musical fountain, the maritime park offers various cartoon characters to explore, providing plenty to see.
You can also enjoy the view of Pohang by the water, giving off a feeling similar to being in Hong Kong. It’s a place that gives a similar vibe to the Star Street in Hong Kong.
It’s a great place to visit, especially with children, as you can see many different characters.
