Having completed the itinerary for the first day of my Japan trip, I moved on to the second day. The second day’s schedule involved finishing breakfast at the hotel and then heading to Arashiyama through Kyoto Station. Since the optimal way to get to Arashiyama was by using the Kyoto train, I naturally made my way to Kyoto Station.
Kyoto Station is quite large, serving many passengers, including numerous tourists. Within the station, you can find the “Tourist Center,” written in Korean as “Kyoto Comprehensive Tourism Information Center.”

“Kyoto Station Comprehensive Tourism Information Center on the 2nd Floor”
The Kyoto Comprehensive Tourism Information Center is located on the 2nd floor of Kyoto Station. I had visited this place back in 2018 while traveling in Kyoto to purchase the Kyoto bus 1-day unlimited pass. Although I didn’t need to buy a Kyoto bus pass this time, I decided to revisit in case there was any necessary tourist information available.
There wasn’t much significant change between the Kyoto Station Tourist Information Center before and after COVID-19. The content was similar, and there were no noticeable differences. However, not wanting to leave empty-handed, I grabbed a Kyoto tourist map before heading out.
“A Place to Get Useful Information for First-time Visitors to Kyoto”
For those visiting Kyoto for the first time, this is a place where you can obtain useful information. Especially if you are planning an economical trip using tourist passes like the Kyoto bus 1-day unlimited pass, it’s a must-visit location.
