Sindorim boasts an “International Food Street” where you can find various eateries offering a wide range of cuisines. It’s a place where you can easily locate restaurants serving delicious food. However, despite its name, “International Food Street,” you’ll find that most of the restaurants here specialize in dishes commonly known to us rather than a diverse range of international cuisines.
“Sindorim’s International Food Street: Kkang Udon”
After having dinner in Sindorim and spending some time, I felt a sense of regret before heading home. As the weather grew colder, I began to crave a warm, soupy dish, particularly one featuring fish cake. Unfortunately, I had trouble finding a place nearby that sold fish cake. After some searching, I was fortunate enough to come across a udon restaurant called “Kkang Udon.”
“A Restaurant Offering Fish Cake, Udon, and Dumplings”
Kkang Udon offers a concise menu including “Udon, Fish Cake Udon, Fish Cake, Fish Cake Soup, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Dumplings.” Personally, I don’t drink alcohol, so I only ordered udon and dumplings, and they were delicious. However, for those who enjoy drinking, this is a place where you can pair fish cake with alcohol and enjoy udon when you’re feeling hungry. It’s a spot that would be well-loved by those who appreciate a good glass of soju.
“A Quaintly Decorated Establishment”
The restaurant isn’t very large, but it exudes a quaint atmosphere. It feels like stepping into a small shop you might find in Japan.
Additionally, around 2021 to 2022, there was a surge in popularity for Rain’s song “Gang.” This led to the creation of the popular phrase “1 day, 1 Gang.” Although the song “Gang” was released in 2017, it saw a resurgence in popularity in 2021. This restaurant reminds me of that era when the song “Gang” was trending.
This is a great place for a light meal featuring fish cake and udon. It’s an eccentric local restaurant in Sindorim that gives off a unique Japanese vibe.
