Kim Ga Ne, Gimbap Restaurant in Sinchon (Yonsei Branch)

Kim Ga Ne is a franchise restaurant specializing in “gimbap” (seaweed rice rolls). In the past, inexpensive gimbap restaurants like Gimbap Heaven were common, but at some point, they became less prevalent. Instead, slightly more upscale gimbap restaurants like “Kim Ga Ne” and “Barda Kim Seonsaeng” gained popularity for their higher quality offerings.

You can also find “Kim Ga Ne” in Sinchon, a major area in Seoul, not far from the Yonsei University intersection.

“Sinchon Gimbap Restaurant, Kim Ga Ne (Yonsei Branch)”

You can find Kim Ga Ne in the heart of Sinchon’s Yonsei-ro. Being situated along a main road, it’s easy to locate.

At first glance, the entrance may give the impression that the store is relatively small, but once inside, it feels quite spacious with its elongated layout.

“Kim Ga Ne, Offering Gimbap, Rice Dishes, and Snacks”

At Kim Ga Ne, you can explore a variety of menu options. In addition to gimbap, they offer rice dishes and snacks. The prices are slightly higher compared to Gimbap Heaven, giving it a more premium feel.

Placing an order is also convenient. You can find a “kiosk” near the entrance where you can select and pay for your desired menu items. However, if you prefer not to use the kiosk, you can also place your order at the counter.

“Jjolmyeon: 6,000 KRW”

During this visit to Kim Ga Ne, I ordered “jjolmyeon” (spicy chewy noodles). It wasn’t a day when I was extremely hungry, so I visited for a simple meal.

After contemplating among the various menu options, I decided on jjolmyeon. With a price of 6,000 KRW, it was reasonably priced and allowed me to enjoy a unique dish without feeling too heavy on the stomach. While jjolmyeon may not be the most filling, it’s still a special treat with its spicy and sweet flavor.

Whether you’re dining alone or in need of a quick meal with options like gimbap and snacks, Kim Ga Ne is a great place to visit.
