Yeongjin Beach, also known as Yeongjin Seashore, can be found a bit north of Gangneung. It is another beach along the East Sea that you can visit.
What made Yeongjin Beach famous was the drama “Goblin.” The photos taken by Gong Yoo and Kim Go-eun at Yeongjin Beach Breakwater became a hot topic, drawing even more attention to this place than before.
“Jumunjin Yeongjin Beach”
Yeongjin Beach in Jumunjin offers a slightly different atmosphere compared to Gyeongpo Beach. While Gyeongpo Beach boasts an extensive sandy shore, Yeongjin Beach offers a more diverse natural environment with a mix of sandy areas and rocky formations, creating a more varied appeal.
“Jumunjin Cafe Street”
Around Yeongjin Beach, there are places like Gangneung Coffee Street, Jumunjin Seafood Village, and Sacheon Mulhoe Village. In particular, there are cafes along the beach where you can enjoy a view of the sea, making it a great place to spend time while admiring the ocean.
Among them, the cafe we visited was named “Brazil.” It was a cafe with a two-story layout, and the view from the second floor was so stunning that it could be considered a work of art. Personally, this was one of the most memorable places during our trip, and I would consider revisiting Jumunjin just to come back to this place. It’s a hidden gem of Gangneung travel.
