Jumunjin Cafe Street Cafe “Brazil”

Along Jumunjin Yeongjin Beach, or Yeongjin Seashore, you can see a row of cafes. While any cafe here offers a great view of the sea, one cafe, in particular, stands out – “Brazil.”

“Jumunjin Yeongjin Beach Ocean View Cafe: Brazil”

Jumunjin, known as the original neighborhood for Gangneung coffee, is where Jumunjin Cafe Street is located. This place was introduced in a past episode of Battle Trip’s Gangwon travel, recommended as a great spot to enjoy coffee while gazing at the sea.

However, at the time of the broadcast, the focus was more on the cast members, and the magnificent view that can be enjoyed at Brazil was not highlighted as much, leaving us feeling a bit disappointed.

“Brazil: Two-Story Cafe”

Brazil is a two-story cafe. You can order coffee on the first floor and spend time on either floor, whichever you prefer.

While they do sell regular Americano-style coffee, you can also order coffee made from various beans. I had the opportunity to try coffee made from beans with names like “Brazil” and “El Salvador,” which were priced at 6,000 won per cup. It’s a hand-drip coffee, but the price is reasonable and not overly burdensome.

“Glass Windows Overlooking the East Coast Sea”

The highlight of this cafe space is the second floor. Going up to the second floor, you can enjoy the view of the East Coast beach through the glass windows.

It’s a great place to enjoy leisurely time over a cup of coffee. If you visit Jumunjin, I highly recommend not skipping the cafe street.

“The Most Memorable Place of This Gangneung Trip”

Personally, I found it more enjoyable to sit a bit away from the window rather than right next to it. While the window-side seats offer a view of the coastal road, sitting a bit further away allows you to see only the sea, creating a more mystical atmosphere.

In particular, this place stood out as the most memorable spot of my trip to Gangneung. The view of Gangneung’s front sea through the glass window felt like it was captured in a frame. It’s a place with a kind of magic that makes you want to see it again.

Thinking about visiting Gangneung again just to come back to this cafe wouldn’t be a bad idea. With just the view from the window on the second floor, this place exudes more than enough charm.
