Jeju Seogwipo E-Mart, Korea

There are three E-Marts in Jeju Island: E-Mart Jeju, Sinjeju Branch, and Seogwipo Branch. Among them, “Electromart” is only available at the Sinjeju Branch. During my recent trip to Jeju Island, I primarily explored the Seogwipo area, and it came time to charge my electric car. I decided to visit the nearby E-Mart to charge my car and also take a look around the store.

“E-Mart Seogwipo Branch”

E-Mart Seogwipo Branch is located near the Jeju World Cup Stadium, positioned between Jungmun Tourist Complex and downtown Seogwipo.

The atmosphere at E-Mart Seogwipo Branch is somewhat different from other E-Marts. Perhaps it’s because it’s close to the Jungmun Tourist Complex, but it has a slight difference compared to the typical E-Mart. Inside the store, you can also hear announcements in various foreign languages such as Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese. I think this might be because many tourists visiting Jeju Island choose to come here.

“A Store, Books Libro, and More at E-Mart Seogwipo Branch”

While you won’t find Electromart at E-Mart Seogwipo Branch, you can find “A Store,” which sells Apple products. Additionally, there’s a bookstore called “Books Libro” where you can purchase books.

These aspects differentiate it from other E-Marts. Typically, you might find electronic products at Electromart and it’s not common to find a bookstore within a supermarket. So, E-Mart Seogwipo Branch offers a unique combination of A Store and a bookstore.

“Electric Car Charging Station at E-Mart Seogwipo Branch”

You can also find an electric car charging station at E-Mart Seogwipo Branch. It’s located on the rooftop parking lot and you can charge using the “SS Charger.”

Charging with SS Charger provides a 50% discount on the charging fee, making it economically advantageous for those driving electric cars in Jeju Island compared to other charging stations.

During this trip, I rented an electric car to explore Jeju Island. By stopping at E-Mart to browse the store and charge my car, I was able to prepare for the next part of my itinerary.
