Japan, Nara Park “Bus Terminal”

Perhaps the easiest and most convenient way to visit Nara Park is by using the bus, as there is a “Bus Terminal” located at the heart of Nara Park. Right across from Nara’s famous deer-filled “Noborioji Park” and adjacent to the Nara Prefecture Office, you can find the “Nara Park Bus Terminal.”

“Nara Park Bus Terminal”

The Nara Park Bus Terminal is quite spacious and well-maintained. It opened as a tourist bus terminal in 2019, serving as both a bus terminal and a complex commercial facility. The three-story structure features outstanding architecture that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity.

Consisting of West Wing and East Wing, the two wings are connected by a bridge. On the first floor, you’ll find a diorama exhibition hall themed around Nara Park, as well as cafes, and souvenir shops. The second floor houses a digital content exhibition hall showcasing Nara’s history, along with cafes and restaurants. On the third floor, there is a rooftop observation deck where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Nara Park.

However, if you want a more splendid view, it’s recommended to visit the nearby “Nara Prefecture Observatory,” which offers a more breathtaking panorama, making the ascent to the rooftop observation deck unnecessary.

“Nara Bus Terminal with Starbucks and Kimono Rental”

On the second floor, you can find a Starbucks and a kimono rental shop. Starbucks is located in the East Wing, while the kimono rental shop is situated in the West Wing. Additionally, on the first floor of the West Wing, there is a souvenir shop. Purchasing a souvenir that catches your eye after exploring Nara Park can add to the memories of your trip.
