Near Dongguk University, there is a well-known brick oven pizza place called “Dochi Pizza”. It’s always bustling with many people.
“I joined an English conversation meetup near Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Saturday afternoon. It was my first time attending a meetup since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, so it was a somewhat nervous time, but it turned out to be a great opportunity to use English after a long time.
After the meetup, as evening approached and it was time for dinner, we wondered where to go. That’s when we decided to visit ‘Dochi Pizza Jangchung Branch’.

Dochi Pizza is known for its brick oven pizzas. The price range for a whole pizza is about KRW 23,000, which is considered reasonable when thinking about pizza prices.
On this day, several of us visited, a total of six people. Naturally, we ended up ordering a lot of pizzas. We ordered three pizzas in total, along with a salad.
The ordering process was convenient, as we could use the touch screen provided at the table to place orders and make payments.
“A Variety of Delicious Brick Oven Pizzas”
There were quite a few pizza options to choose from. Since we ordered as a group, we ended up trying various types, but unfortunately, I can’t remember the names of the specific pizzas we ordered.
As we placed our orders, each pizza came out one by one, allowing us to experience the unique flavor of brick oven pizza. However, it wasn’t as generous in portion size compared to the price, which was a bit disappointing. I think this may be a personal issue, as I tend to eat a lot.
Nevertheless, for pizza enthusiasts, this is a place where you can have a delicious meal.
“Elegant Interior Atmosphere”
The restaurant’s interior also exudes an elegant atmosphere. The vintage yet subtle lighting in the interior gives off a sophisticated and cozy vibe.
In particular, it seems like a great place for couples on a date. The menu also includes Italian dishes like pizza and pasta, making it a safe choice for a date.
