Changsin Yukhoe 4th Branch, Gwangjang Market, Seoul

Gwangjang Market offers a variety of food options. From the irresistible “drug kimbap” to dishes like mung bean pancakes, raw fish, and yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare), you can enjoy a wide range of delicious foods at affordable prices.

This market is known for providing delicious food at a low cost within the unique atmosphere of the market. It’s considered one of Seoul’s representative markets and is a must-visit, especially for foreigners who have friends in the area.

“Changsin Yukhoe, Specializing in Yukhoe (Korean Beef Tartare)”

Originally, the restaurant we planned to visit inside Gwangjang Market had closed for the day due to all ingredients being sold out. Fortunately, we were able to find another delicious menu within the market, and that led us to “Changsin Yukhoe.”

Changsin Yukhoe has multiple branches within Gwangjang Market, and the one we visited is the 4th branch. It’s so popular that you can find up to four branches of the same restaurant nearby.

“A Restaurant Offering Yukhoe at Affordable Prices”

Changsin Yukhoe specializes in yukhoe. You can find various menu options such as “yukhoe,” “yukhoe sashimi,” and “yukhoe bibimbap.”

“A Dining Area is Provided Indoors at Changsin Yukhoe”

Unlike most restaurants in Gwangjang Market, where meals are usually enjoyed at stalls, Changsin Yukhoe provides a designated seating area on the second floor for a more comfortable dining experience. Prices are quite reasonable, with one serving of yukhoe priced at KRW 15,000 and yukhoe sashimi at around KRW 28,000.

“A Complimentary Bowl of Beef and Radish Soup”

Before placing your order, a complimentary bowl of beef and radish soup is served. It’s delicious, especially when combined with the yukhoe, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

You can ask for refills of the beef and radish soup as needed, and they will gladly provide more if you run out. However, personally, I felt a bit self-conscious about asking for too many refills later on.

This restaurant offers tasty yukhoe at an affordable price. It’s a great place to enjoy local vibes and delicious food without breaking the bank. However, be prepared for the bustling atmosphere typical of a market setting.

It’s a recommended place if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option for tasty food with a local atmosphere. However, if you’re seeking a more upscale dining experience, it might not be the best choice.
