In front of the National Assembly Building in Yeouido, Seoul, there are many delicious restaurants. As it is a place with a large building called the National Assembly Building, you can naturally find restaurants selling delicious food nearby, and you can see that many restaurants are densely packed.

Among the restaurants in the dining area in front of the National Assembly Building in Yeouido, you can find a restaurant called “Yeongwol Village Guy, Kimchi Stew, Pork Belly Rice Bowl.” Here, they sell dishes like “Kimchi Stew, Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Kimchi Jjigae,” just as the name suggests.

When you hear the term “kimchi stew restaurant,” you might think of a small-scale establishment, but this place boasts a fairly large scale, making it even more memorable.

This place was originally known as a “hof” (Korean pub) and it is known that the late President Kim Young-sam, who was elected in this historic place, has passed away.

You can order Kimchi Stew, Pork Belly Rice Bowl, or Kimchi Jjigae. They also sell raw meat, and you can order items like fresh pork belly or pork neck.

Since we visited this place for a simple meal, we ordered Pork Belly Rice Bowl and Kimchi Jjigae. It was a quiet Saturday evening, so many tables were empty, allowing us to order two different menu items. (Note that during busy times like weekday lunches, there is a notice to request uniform menu choices, as there is only one grill.)

In this restaurant, you can place an order and make payment directly using the touch screen installed at your table. Perhaps, due to this system, it seems that labor can be saved during busy times like weekday lunch hours.

“Stone pot rice and additional side dishes are self-service.”

Regardless of the menu you order, stone pot rice comes with it. It can be said that this restaurant offers great value for money. There is a salad bar set up on one side of the restaurant, where you can help yourself to additional side dishes like ramen, vegetables, and more.

Kimchi Stew is priced at 8,000 won, Pork Belly Rice Bowl at 10,000 won, and Jjigae at 12,000 won. It’s a place where you can have a delicious meal at a reasonable price, making it not burdensome in terms of cost.

If you want to have a meal near the National Assembly Building in Yeouido without a big burden, it’s a good place to visit.
