Tous Les Jours King’s Garden Branch: A Bakery in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun

Tous Les Jours is a franchise bakery operated in a chain format by CJ Foodville, a subsidiary of CJ Group. It started its operation in 1997, and in 2008, it opened its 1,000th branch in Joonang-dong, Bucheon. In 2004, it expanded to the United States, followed by China in 2005, Vietnam in 2007, Indonesia in 2011, and Malaysia in 2013, marking its globalization.

A similar concept bakery competitor is Paris Baguette, and compared to Paris Baguette, Tous Les Jours’ bread and pastry prices are relatively slightly higher.

It’s worth noting that Tous Les Jours comes from the French phrase “Tous Les Jours,” meaning “every day.” Tous Les Jours can be found all over South Korea and is a common bakery in major hub areas.

In the Gwanghwamun area, bakeries are relatively easy to come by, and you can also find Tous Les Jours, a franchise bakery. While Tous Les Jours may have fewer franchise outlets in the Gwanghwamun area compared to Paris Baguette, you can find Tous Les Jours on the 1st floor of the Gyeonghuigung’s Morning 3rd-danji studio.

As a franchise bakery, Tous Les Jours doesn’t have any particularly distinctive features. Instead, it’s a place you can visit as part of your daily routine, making it a spot you might miss if it weren’t there.

“Takeout-Only Specialty Store”

The Tous Les Jours Gyeonghuigung’s Morning Branch doesn’t offer a space for enjoying the purchased baked goods on-site. It operates as a takeout-only establishment and is relatively small in scale.

Located in the shopping area on the 1st floor of the Gyeonghuigung’s Morning Studio 3rd-danji, it’s easily accessible for those living or working nearby. It’s a place you can drop by when you occasionally crave some bread.
