Seoul Sadang Station Grill House: ‘Seorae Galbi Jib’

The vicinity of Sadang Station is considered a central hub of transportation. Thanks to this, it sees a high flow of people passing through, and as a result, various restaurants and cafes can be found nearby.

In particular, if you enter the alley behind Exit 10 of Sadang Station, you’ll find a variety of restaurants. This area is commonly referred to as the “Let’s Eat Alley,” where you can discover restaurants offering good value for money.

“Sadang Station Pork Rib House: Seorae Galbi Jib”

Seorae Galbi Jib can also be found in the Let’s Eat Alley behind Exit 10. It’s another restaurant in this area that boasts good value for money. Seorae Galbi Jib specializes in selling “galbi” (marinated ribs). They prepare the raw meat and then grill it again for serving. The marinated pork ribs are available at a reasonable price of 13,000 won per serving.

If you visit in the evening, it’s recommended to order meat dishes like galbi. However, like many grill houses, most of them also offer lunch menus. Since I visited during lunchtime, I opted for a simple meal rather than grilling the meat.

“Seorae Galbi Jib Lunch Menu”

During this visit, we each ordered a serving of galbi tang and added one order of spicy pork stir-fry. We ordered three servings for two people, and the portions were quite generous. Even with just two servings instead of three, we would have had enough to eat. I couldn’t help but think that we might have ordered too much.

The food was generally good, and if I have the chance, I’d like to try the pork ribs that they also serve.

“A Unique Restaurant with Helmets and Shields?”

Seorae Galbi Jib is a restaurant, but you can also find unique items on display. Medieval-style helmets and shields are exhibited in the restaurant. These were purchased as souvenirs by the owner during their travels. It’s a distinctive feature to unexpectedly find helmets and shields in a grill house, making Seorae Galbi Jib even more memorable.

As it’s located near Sadang Station, it’s a great grill house to visit for meat dishes at a reasonable price in the evening, and for a hearty lunch at a reasonable price during lunchtime.
