Seoul Millennium Time Capsule Plaza (Photo)

The Seoul Millennium Time Capsule is a time capsule created in 1994 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Seoul’s transition from Gaegyeong, the capital of the Goryeo Dynasty, to Hanyang during the Joseon Dynasty. It is scheduled to be officially opened by descendants in the year 2394, marking the 1000th anniversary of the transition.

Shaped like a Bosingak Bell, it was buried here and vacuum-sealed to prevent corrosion. Inside, it contains everyday items and artifacts used in 1994.
