Seoul Jungdong-gil Brunch Cafe ‘La Green’

Jungdong-gil, stretching from Seodaemun to Deoksugung in Seoul, is a distinctly Korean street with a nostalgic atmosphere. It exudes a feeling that makes you want to take a leisurely stroll. In the past, it was a place where significant events in modern history occurred, playing a pivotal role in the modern history of South Korea.

At the heart of Jungdong-gil, you can find Ewha Girls’ High School, a school with a remarkable 131-year history. The precursor to Ewha Girls’ High School was Ewha Hakdang, established in Jungdong, China, in 1886. Given its long history, the school features a 100th-anniversary memorial hall.

Next to the main building of Ewha Girls’ High School, you’ll find the 100th-anniversary memorial hall. Passing through a gate that seems to hold the history within, you can enter the 100th-anniversary memorial hall. In front of it, you’ll come across a brunch cafe named ‘La Green.’

“Quaint Atmosphere Brunch Cafe”

Being a brunch cafe located within Ewha Girls’ High School, it carries a quaint atmosphere. It’s intriguing to find such a charming cafe within a high school. Perhaps it’s the setting within a girls’ high school that gives off this vibe. Situated inside the school premises, it seems to evoke the senses and tastes of the female students. However, during the daytime visit, there was no sign of students occupying the space, likely because they were attending classes.

A brunch cafe within Ewha Girls’ High School, preserving an old yet delightful atmosphere, offers a unique blend with the scenery of Jungdong-gil. It’s a great place to spend some time, enjoying the surroundings before moving on.
