Twosome Place is a South Korean coffee chain launched by CJ Group. After being launched by CJ Group, it was later sold to the Hong Kong-based private equity fund, Anchor Equity Partners, and as of 2021, it has been fully acquired by the U.S.-based company, Caribou Coffee.

Twosome Place, unlike other cafe brands, positions itself as a “dessert cafe” specializing in coffee and cake-centric offerings under its slogan. This sets it apart from other cafes.

The area near Hapjeong Station is a vital transportation hub in the northwest region of Seoul. It sees a lot of subway traffic and is close to Hongdae, making it always bustling with people. Moreover, between Hapjeong Station and Sangsu Station, there’s a cafe street where small but unique cafes are clustered.

In the vicinity of Hapjeong Station, you can find a variety of cafes, from distinctive independent ones to franchise cafes commonly found elsewhere. Starbucks stores are easily accessible nearby, and you can also find Twosome Place stores.

“Significant Scale of Twosome Place”

The Twosome Place store in front of Hapjeong Station Exit 6 is quite spacious, occupying two floors. It boasts extended operating hours until late, which is advantageous, and its large size allows it to accommodate a considerable number of patrons at once.

With a capacity of comfortably accommodating over 200 people, it might be one of the largest cafes near Hapjeong Station. While Starbucks stores are nearby, this Twosome Place store is significantly larger than the nearby Starbucks, making it an impressive and overwhelming cafe.

In fact, I visited this place through the app “Danggeun Market” to purchase the MacBook Air M2 model. I decided to make the purchase through “Danggeun Market,” and fortunately found a listing selling the desired model with the specifications I wanted at a reasonable price, and I was able to make the purchase here.

After leaving work late, I waited until closing time to complete the transaction, but luckily, the cafe operates until 22:00, which was convenient for making the deal late into the evening.

Although it was a used purchase, I was able to obtain a product with excellent specifications at a much lower price than a new one, and I am now using this product to write and upload this post.
