Seoul COEX Plastic Model Shop: Gundam Base

Gundam Base is a directly operated model shop run by the Japanese company “Bandai Spirits.” It is a store that sells Gundam plastic models and related assembly products. In Japan, you can find Gundam Base in places like Akihabara and Odaiba in Tokyo, and you can also find it in South Korea.

In South Korea, you can find the first Gundam Base store in Yongsan. Besides Yongsan, you can find Gundam Base in several other locations, including COEX. In COEX, it is located on the “B2 floor” and is relatively tucked away, along with the Apple Store.

As the name suggests, Gundam Base deals with models of “Gundam.” While plastic models are the main focus, you can find a variety of Gundam models here. Located relatively discreetly on the B2 floor of COEX, it is a store that operates on a fairly large scale.

“You Can Also See Other Products Besides Gundam”

Unlike Japan’s Gundam Base, the Gundam Base in South Korea also allows you to see products other than Gundam. Although it may seem random, you can find One Piece and Dragon Ball characters displayed. However, it seems that more than 80% of the products in the store are related to Gundam.

It’s a great place for those who have a hobby in collecting Gundam or figures. Even if you don’t have a specific hobby in this field, it’s an interesting space to visit for people who enjoy photography or have an interest in various things.
