LotteRia is operated by Lotte GRS and is known as South Korea’s first burger franchise. The name is a combination of “Lotte” and “Cafeteria.”

It opened its first branch on October 25, 1979, in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, but eventually disappeared due to the renewal of department stores and Lotte Hotels. As of now, the oldest LotteRia branch is the underground 2nd branch in Lotte Department Store Main Branch.

Currently, LotteRia has over 1,286 locations in South Korea, which is over 800 more than both McDonald’s and Burger King. Thanks to this, you can find LotteRia in various key locations throughout the city, including near Seoul National University Entrance.

You can find LotteRia near Seoul National University Entrance by coming out of Exit 3 and walking up the hill towards the direction of Gwanak-gu Office.

You can find LotteRia on the first floor, and it doesn’t look significantly different from other LotteRia locations. You’ll see a kiosk as soon as you enter where you can place your order.

Nowadays, most fast food restaurants have kiosks, so this might not be a big difference.
