LG Headquarters Cafeteria: Our Home LG Gwanghwamun Branch

The Gwanghwamun area in Seoul is one of the city’s prominent office districts. It houses various government offices, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government, as well as the headquarters of several newspapers. It’s also home to the offices of major corporations. During lunchtime, you can witness numerous office workers coming out to grab a meal.

Across from the Seoul Gyeonghuigung Palace and Seoul Museum of History, you’ll find the “LG Gwanghwamun Building.” This building hosts various companies within the LG group, such as “LG Household & Health Care,” “LG International,” “LG Pantos,” “LG Holdings,” and “LG MDI.”

“LG Cafeteria: Our Home LG Gwanghwamun Branch”

In the basement of this building, where various LG-affiliated companies are located, you can find a cafeteria responsible for providing meals to their employees. This cafeteria is operated by LG and is known as “Our Home.” You can find Our Home on the 2nd basement floor of the LG Gwanghwamun Building.

Since it’s a company cafeteria, they offer different menus for lunch every day, providing meals according to pre-determined menus. The price for one meal is 7,000 KRW, which is relatively affordable considering the recent rise in prices.

“A Place to Easily Solve a Simple Meal”

Since you can have a meal according to a pre-determined menu in the company cafeteria, you can solve your meal without any hassle, just as they provide. This advantage means you don’t have to worry about what to eat for lunch every day.

Furthermore, considering the recent sharp rise in prices, the price of 7,000 KRW is relatively low in the Gwanghwamun area. This also gives it an advantage in terms of price.

“A Simple Menu with One Main Dish and Three Sides”

However, one relatively disappointing aspect is that compared to restaurants that focus on selling one main menu item, the menu selection and taste may be a bit lacking. They primarily provide meals in a combination of one main dish and three side dishes, including soup. The quality of the side dishes is relatively average, leaving something to be desired.

On this day, they served mixed bibim noodles, along with two dumplings, a salad, a small portion of kimchi, and a fistful of rice. Fortunately, the noodles were generously provided, so I didn’t feel disappointed about the portion size after the meal. However, I did feel a slight disappointment with the basic side dishes provided.

Nevertheless, despite this, it’s a place near Gwanghwamun where you can easily have a simple lunch. The price is not too burdensome, making it a considerable advantage.
