Jeju Island is famous for its traditional dish called “Momguk”. In addition to Momguk, you can also find other Jeju traditional dishes like Bomalguk (abalone soup) and Dosegiguk (black pig intestine soup). However, it can be quite challenging to find a restaurant that serves Dosegiguk.

At this place, you can find traditional Jeju dishes like Momguk, Dosegiguk, and Bomalguk. While I wanted to try Momguk during this visit, since I had tried it before, I decided to order Dosegiguk, which is not easily found elsewhere.
“Jeju Black Dosegiguk”
Black Dosegiguk is a soup made by boiling black pork and buckwheat flour in a white broth, with plenty of radish and green onions. The buckwheat flour thickens the broth, giving it a porridge-like texture that is both soft and hearty.
While it may appear somewhat thick in the photos, the presence of spicy peppers surprisingly minimizes the thickness, making it enjoyable without feeling overly rich.
It was my first time trying this dish, and it turned out to be a delicious and satisfying meal. Someone else who had visited this place also mentioned it as a friendly and welcoming establishment, and I can confirm that from my experience. Despite dining alone, I was able to enjoy a comfortable meal thanks to their kindness.
This restaurant is a precious find in Seogwipo, offering a special traditional dish that isn’t easily found in Jeju Island.
