Incheon Songdo Triple Street: Japanese Ramen at ‘Hinoaji’

Incheon Songdo Triple Street is a multifaceted shopping mall that opened on April 29, 2017. Originally, a street mall project had been underway in the Incheon Free Economic Zone Songdo International City since 2006. However, due to an economic downturn, the business owner went bankrupt. Subsequently, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority took over the project, and construction began in 2016, with the mall opening in 2017. It received the Incheon City Architecture Award in 2017.

Triple Street is divided into A, B, C, and D buildings, spanning from the basement 3rd floor to the 3rd above ground. Between buildings C and D, there’s a lawn and a small stage where major events sometimes take place.

“Dining at Songdo Triple Street”

Incheon Songdo Triple Street boasts various dining options. Restaurants can be found both above ground and in the underground dining area. For those looking for a relatively more cost-effective option, visiting the underground dining area is recommended.

The restaurant “Hinoaji,” which I visited this time, is also located in the underground 2nd floor of Songdo Triple Street, in Building C. If you’re coming through Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet, you can find it by walking all the way through the underground 1st-floor connecting passage.

“Japanese Ramen Restaurant: Hinoaji”

As the name “Hinoaji” suggests, this restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine, particularly Japanese ramen.

The price range for a regular meal is around ₩13,000 per person. The set includes Japanese ramen, a bowl of rice, and a serving of tonkatsu. There’s a wide variety of set meals, so it’s better to refer to the menu rather than listing them all here.

The restaurant is quite spacious, providing a suitable size for about 20-30 people to dine at once.

“Ramen Set: ₩13,000”

While there are various ramen sets, the basic components remain the same, with only the main ramen dish differing. When ordering a set meal, you’ll receive ramen, rice, and tonkatsu.

Typically, when only ordering ramen in Japan, it can be flavorful but often lacks in quantity. In this set meal, however, I didn’t feel it was lacking in quantity. Especially, the option to order more rice if needed was a plus.

As a Japanese restaurant in Incheon Songdo Triple Street, it’s a great place to visit when you’re craving Japanese ramen and tonkatsu. It offers good value for your money.
