Near Gwanghwamun Saemunan Church, there is a building that houses the “Naeil Sinmun” (Tomorrow’s News) office. On the first floor of the same building, you’ll find a cafe called “Cafe Gather.”
“Cafe Gather: Elegance in Atmosphere”
Cafe Gather exudes an overall elegant atmosphere. It’s not a place for simply enjoying an inexpensive cup of tea, nor is it a cafe that’s overcrowded with many people. Of course, there may be moments of bustling activity when office workers gather momentarily after lunchtime, but overall, it is a cafe where a sense of leisure prevails.
The layout of the cafe space and seating is not cramped, providing a sense of spaciousness. Particularly, being entirely made of glass, you can feel the sunlight streaming in during daytime.
“Impressive Large Table and Unique Sculptures”
Upon entering the cafe, your attention will be drawn to the long and large table at the center. It resembles a space you might find in a shared office, making it seem suitable for both enjoying coffee and engaging in conversations, as well as for working.
Beyond that, unique sculptures adorn the interior. They are placed in areas where a few more seats could be added, enhancing the overall sense of sophistication.
Towards the front of the glass window, there is also outdoor seating available. On a nice day, you can grab a cup of coffee and spend time outside. However, on this day in winter, it was a bit too chilly to consider spending time outdoors.
“A Place to Taste Turkish Coffee”
At Cafe Gather, you can also taste coffee made using the Turkish coffee extraction method, known as the first method of coffee extraction. It involves heating coffee over hot sand in the desert.
“A Cafe Where Meeting Rooms Can Be Rented”
Near the entrance of the cafe, there is a meeting room available. With a structure that allows the door to be opened and closed, it’s a convenient place for important meetings.
This space operates on a reservation basis and requires payment to use. Reservations can be made via phone, and the usage fee is 5,000 KRW per 30 minutes.
A cafe with a tranquil yet elegant atmosphere, making it a great place for conducting important meetings.
