Near Yeongdeungpo District Office, you can find a variety of great restaurants. Being in the vicinity of a government office, it’s natural for a commercial area to form with numerous dining options.
This time, I visited a restaurant called “Yugane Haejangguk” because the signboard read “Specialty in Oyster Rice Soup.”
“Yeongdeungpo District Office Oyster Rice Soup Specialty: Yugane Haejangguk”
While the signboard indicated that it’s an oyster rice soup specialty restaurant, when I entered the establishment and checked the menu, I found numerous dishes featuring “oyster.” However, for this visit, I opted for a simple order of oyster rice soup.
“A Refreshing Bowl of Oyster Rice Soup”
Upon ordering the oyster rice soup, a variety of side dishes were promptly set out. After the side dishes arrived, a bowl of oyster rice soup was served. It had a generous appearance that suggested it would be a satisfying meal, and as expected, it was a rice soup that I could enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
With ingredients like leeks, tofu, oyster, and egg, this oyster rice soup was a delicacy, providing a refreshing meal.
In addition to oyster rice soup, they also offered various dishes using oysters, such as oyster pancakes and oyster wraps. It made me want to revisit and try out different menu items.
“A Moderately Sized Establishment”
Overall, the food was good, but I was a bit disappointed by the small size of the restaurant. There were tables on the first floor, with approximately six tables in total, accommodating around 20 people at once.
Because of this, it might be a bit inconvenient for important meetings or for groups to dine together. However, it’s a decent place for a casual meal in the vicinity.
