In front of Exit 5 of Naebang Station, you can find the large franchise cafe “Twosome Place.” In the past, there used to be Coffine Gurunaru, and at one point, there was also a seolleongtang (ox bone soup) restaurant. Currently, “Twosome Place” has taken its place. The building is a two-story structure, housing a large cafe.

Twosome Place is a coffee chain launched by the CJ Group in South Korea. After being launched by the CJ Group, it was later sold to Anchor Equity Partners, a Hong Kong-based private equity fund, and as of 2021, it has been completely acquired by the U.S. company, Caribou Coffee.
Twosome Place distinguishes itself from other cafe brands by operating under the slogan of a “dessert cafe,” with a focus on cakes rather than being a typical coffee shop.

The Twosome Place at Naebang Station is a two-story cafe. The first floor has a counter for placing orders and some seating, while the second floor provides even more seating.
Although it’s quite spacious, it’s also a popular spot, so securing a seat might be a bit challenging. As it’s a large cafe, there is parking space available in front of the building. It may be a bit difficult to find parking for many vehicles at once, but they do offer some parking space, making it convenient for those who prefer to visit by car.

Especially, sitting by the window and enjoying the view of the area in front of Naebang Station is quite pleasant. Since the cafe is mostly made of glass, if you manage to get a seat by the window, you can appreciate the urban scenery outside.
It’s a great place to spend leisurely time with close friends or a significant other. Sitting by the window, enjoying the cityscape, makes it a wonderful place to pass the time.
