McDonald’s is a leading multinational fast food franchise that originated in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Known as the epitome of fast food hamburgers, it has become a trademark symbolizing American capitalism and globalization, alongside Coca-Cola and Apple.

With its global presence, McDonald’s has a significant impact on the world economy, to the extent of creating the “Big Mac Index,” a concept used to measure purchasing power parity based on the price of its “Big Mac” menu item.
